Fender Lead I – 1981 - Description
Fender Lead I of 1981, US production. Year confirmed by serial number E108041 (E1 series – early 1980s, Fullerton). The model from the short, today highly valued lead series production period – simple, direct Fender, made in the US before the line was expired. The guitar has been sensibly modified, without compromising the nature of the instrument. A body in the classic shape of Lead, maple grif bolted, maple fingerboard. Comfortable, typically “fender” profile, fast and predictable in the game. In the bridge the original Fender Lead I humbucker – strong, clear, with a good attack. Under the game added Seymour Duncan mini humbucker, which brings a warmer, more compact sound and actually expands the palette of sounds. The bridge mentioned on Babicz Full Contact Hardware – clearly better sustain and stability than in the original.
